Lazy lazy blogger - yeah thats me

ok, not really - my day job has been INSANE.

ArtFire shopSo apparently it has been a week of folks wanting hats - I have had 3 sell this week. This one was my favorite, and it was the first item that I listed in my shop.

This week has also been about trying to find a bolt of mid to heavyweight cotton fabric by the bolt.

I contacted heaven on earth, otherwise known as Vogue Fabrics in Chicago, and am still waiting to hear from them.
The website really does not give you an idea of how amazing the store actually is. Wish me luck - going to try a trip to Hancock Fabrics as well - here in Michigan, we are stuck with mostly Jo-Ann fabric and craft stores, which is not my preferred choice.

Oh, Minnesota Fabrics, I miss you!!!!!

Yesterdays find - black patent leather clutch purse 1950s 1960s

Yesterday was a full day of getting new vintage items

Not that I don't have enough, but it is a continual process, and one that is so much harder now that everyone collects vintage...

It is one heck of a sexy patent leather clutch purse - in fabulous condition!

That was the second find of the morning, at a flea market where I talked the seller down on 4 items bundled together.
Yay, me.

Kinda makes me feel like watching this movie.

Welcome to Vintage Costumes

Why VintageCostumes? Its a mash-up of the things that are representative of my new endeavor on Etsy.

I will be selling vintage clothing finds, many of them from my former career as a ....wait for it...costume designer.

Clever, yes?

I will also do handmade items and reproductions of period garments, such as this one:
